Adoption Process

  • To reserve a spot in line, you must first fill out our application. We have many applications coming in, we typically do not review them until around the time puppies are born.

  • At that point, once you have been pre-approved, we will schedule a brief phone call where we will review this adoption process and answer any additional questions you may have. (We recommend reviewing our FAQ page just in case any of your questions may be answered there!)

  • After visiting on the phone and receiving a final approval, you may place a $500 deposit in the form of a check**. The deposit is refundable and will not be cashed until you have selected your forever puppy.

  • Shortly after the pups are born, we will send you photos of them and the proud parents.

  • When you have reached the top of the line, you will be invited to choose your forever puppy along with a name for us to call them.

    • If you cannot find your perfect puppy in our current litter(s), you are welcome to keep your spot in line and wait to choose a puppy from a future litter.

  • Once you've selected your puppy, we will keep you informed about your pup’s growth and progress.

  • When your pup is six weeks old, we will request the remaining balance due for your pup if not already paid in full by this point ***.

  • When the puppies are eight weeks old, we send them to their new homes. You are responsible for arranging their travel home and must make sure to communicate those plans with us to avoid any unnecessary dilemmas in getting them home.

  • We will give you a call on the day of arrival to ensure all is well and to answer any questions you may have. Note: Dogs rarely soil their immediate area, but if your puppy just could not hold it, don’t panic. We will help you through it.

  • In the next few weeks, we will follow up to ensure all is going well for you and your Bernese Mountain Dog puppy.

  • We bet you’ll love your fur baby. But sometimes circumstances change and it becomes necessary to part. If for any reason you can’t keep your Bernese Mountain Dog, we’ll gladly accept him or her back into our home.

** Deposits can be made with a check. We will hold it until you have selected your puppy. After which time, it will be cashed (we will remind you before cashing it). If for any reason your check bounces, we will expect you to cover any fees that may have been incurred.

*** We ask that the remaining balance be paid in the form of a cashier's check. Unfortunately, we are no longer able to accept Venmo payments

Your puppy will be anxiously waiting to go home to you once they turn eight weeks of age, but can not be released until any remaining balance has been paid.
